THE PHYSICS AND THE SCIENCE

SoftWave is an advanced shock wave device using electrohydraulic spark gap technology. Its patented design features a parabolic reflector applicator that produces highly effective, low-intensity unfocused shock waves.

The applicator spreads energy to a large area of both superficial and deep tissue soliciting a biological response to initiate the body’s natural healing process.

SoftWave’s patented parabolic reflector applicator design generates a primary and secondary wave that spreads energy to a large area of both superficial and deep tissue.

The flexible elastic membrane adapts optimally to the treatment area and solicits a biological response without causing microtrauma.

Side-by-side microscopic comparison

The patented SoftWave applicator head sets new standards, allowing for the creation of an expansive and deep therapeutic energy zone unlike any other device on the market.

This innovation leads to heightened healing benefits, as the energy is seamlessly dispersed across a significantly larger and deeper area. This breakthrough not only achieves exceptional outcomes but also ensures a robust biological response without causing any cellular trauma.

WHAT TO EXPECT

The procedure averages 10-15 minutes but may be longer depending on treatment area and diagnosis.

A gel is applied to the surface area to be treated. The applicator produces pulses as the clinician moves around the treatment area. During therapy, communication with the provider is necessary to identify treatment areas and monitor progress. During treatment, when the applicator pulses are directed over healthy tissue, you will not feel anything.

In contrast, when the pulses hit tissues that are enflamed or are in need of healing, you will feel discomfort. THIS IS GOOD! This allows us to know what tissue needs the treatment. You must feel it to heal it!
